Upbeat Music Company is solely in the business of delivering private music lessons to individual students through a variety of music teachers. Pricing for individual lessons is: $30 per 30 minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and $50 for 60 minutes. All prices are posted publicly at the business and communicated by the teacher to students/parents prior to lessons beginning.
Upbeat Music Company is a service business only and does not engage in returns of merchandise.
Payment policy for new students is to pay at each lesson or pay in advance. If you would like more flexibility with your payments, you must store a credit card on file. You will do this when you set up your password to your account in MyMusicStaff.com. Your card will be secure and the charges are handled through PayPal Pro. After you have done so, you may pay once a month if you prefer. If you have not paid during the month and have a balance on the last day of the month, we will create an invoice and run it on the stored credit card. This is a popular option with busy families that want the convenience of not having to keep up with payments every month.
Even with a card on file, you can choose how you want to pay. We accept cash and checks on site. Make checks payable to Upbeat Music Company. There is a drop box in the office if no one is at the desk and you want to pay. There is a mail slot through the office door for after-hours payments, so you can pay anytime. You can pay online by logging into your account in MyMusicStaff.com from any device as well. All credit card payments will include a 3.5% convenience fee, all of which goes to PayPal.
For existing families that have not yet put a card on file and enabled Auto-Pay, payment is still due by the last day of the month. We have waived our late fee for the time being. We may have to suspend lessons until the account is made current so the balance doesn’t increase.
Our philosophy is to make learning music fun and engaging through our qualified teachers. We ask that you be considerate of your teacher’s time and notify them a reasonable amount of time in advance, preferably 24 hours, if you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson. Many of them drive long distances, sometimes just for your lesson. We will make every effort to schedule a make-up lesson. If you miss a scheduled lesson and do not notify the teacher a reasonable amount of time in advance, you will be charged for that lesson. Maintaining your choice of a lesson time is contingent on regular attendance and payments.

At no time, is Upbeat Music Company able to view individual credit card information or information regarding other payment sources submitted via the web, only the amount of the PayPal transfer.
